Tara Trenney serves as a Partner at Five Side Solutions, bringing more than a decade of experience in operations, human resources, organizational development, and business strategy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has dedicated her career to helping organizations build the people, processes, and operational structure needed for long-term success.
Throughout her career, Tara has led initiatives across talent strategy, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, change management, and regulatory compliance. She has extensive experience helping businesses strengthen internal operations, improve team effectiveness, and navigate periods of growth while maintaining a strong organizational culture.
As Vice President of Operations at Penn Cove Group, Tara has overseen critical operational functions across the firm’s portfolio of businesses, partnering closely with executive leadership to align people, processes, and strategy. Earlier in her career, she worked alongside Penn Cove Group’s late founder, Brian Shanahan, helping transform complex ideas into actionable plans through thoughtful problem-solving, strategic planning, and hands-on execution. That experience shaped her collaborative leadership style and her belief that sustainable growth begins with strong operational foundations.
